To get to Hunt Texas from Austin, take US-290 West to Johnson City, Be careful, right before Johnson City you need to bear right (or North) onto US-281 West/US-290. At Johnson City (past the Dairy Queen) turn left onto US-290. Continue on through Stonewall to Fredericksburg where you will take a left on to SR-16. You will go about 24 miles, arriving in Kerrville. Continue on under I-10. Make a right at Sid Peterson's hospital on SR-27. Continue on for about 12 miles (You will pass the Ingram dam) where you will arrive in Hunt. The River House is 1.5 miles past The Hunt Store, on the left side of Hwy 39. Our two entrances are just past a tall green cedar fence. A sign reading Casa del Rio Guest Cottage is by our mailbox on the Right side of the road.

To get to Hunt Texas from San Antonio, take I-10 West about 61 miles to Kerrville. Exit at SR-16 and go left for about 2.5 miles. Make a right at Sid Peterson's hospital on SR-27.
